George is the founder of Alpine Travel, a mountaineering instructor (dipl. Bergfuhrer), an EASA Licensed Commercial Pilot CPL(A), AR (Aerobatic Rated) by the British Aerobatic Academy and a PADI certified open water diver.

His vision was to create a company that would encourage people to explore nature without violating it. As an alpinist, George has taken part in over 30 high altitude expeditions all over the world (Alps, Himalayas, Andes) and has plans for many more.

He is a member of the volunteer rescue team of the region and is often a guest lecturer in seminars concerning environmentally conscious forms of tourism. He trains mountain and trekking guides in Greece.
