Day 1: Athens
Arrival at the Athens international airport where you meet with your guide and are then are transferred to the hotel. We stay overnight in a hotel in Athens. Day 2: Alonissos We are transferred by car to Volos (4 hr drive) and from there we take a boat to Alonissos and settle in our hotel facing the Pagassitikos gulf and the islands of Skiathos and Skopelos. (If no boat sails from Volos we take the ferry from Agios Konstantinos) Day 3: Hora We walk on the old trail that liked the Patiri port to Hora (300m), the island’s main village which was totally destroyed by an earthquake in 1965 and has been gradually rebuilt in order to marvel at the superb view of the whole island. Day 4: Mikros-Mourtias We are transferred by local bus to Hora. We take the path that leads though the olive groves (365m) to the beaches of Mikros and Mourtias. We enjoy a swim and the great views to Skopelos. (4hr walk) Day 5: Sea National Park - Kyra Panagia - Peristera We take the boat to the Sea National Park, natural habitat of the Mediterranean seal and we take short walks on the island of Kyra Panagia and Peristera. We return to our hotel for the night. Day 6: Lefto Yalos We take the local bus to Lefto Yalos. We walk on a plateau and then go down though low vegetation to the loveliest beach of Alonissos named Steni Vala and have a swim. (4 hr walk) Day 7: Volos - Athens Today we take the ferry to Volos (5 hour crossing) and then are transferred to Athens where we settle in our hotel. Day 8: Transfer to the airport for the flight home. TRIP DETAILS Price Includes : All accommodations, all meals from dinner on day 1 through breakfast on day 8, all picnic lunches, group transfers from and to the airport, all transportations throughout the trip, luggage transportations, services of the tour leader - guide, all taxes and VAT. Not Included : Air fare to and from Athens, personal travel-health insurance, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, personal expenses, entrance fees in Museums, and other sites of interest that are not included in the program. Insurance : Participants should be covered by their own personal travel-health insurance and prior to the trip. The personal insurance must at least cover medical expenses as well as air rescue and the cost of repatriation. Alpine Travel is not responsible for any accidents or mishaps directly or indirectly related to the tour. (See Terms & Conditions) Period : From April to October 2010. Transportation : All transfers during the trip are included. Accommodation : Hotels in the cities, village pensions throughout the trip (all with private facilities). Food : Every morning we have breakfast in the hotels, picnic lunch en route and a dinner at local tavern. (Vegetarians are welcome on the trips) Group Size : 6-16 participants.
